East Harlem Holiday Tree

El Árbolito del Barrio

The East Harlem Holiday Tree—to be formally lit on Friday, December 1, 6:30 p.m.—is a beacon that symbolizes the persistence of hope and the determination to prevail in the diverse and culturally rich community of East Harlem.

17th Annual East Harlem Tree Lighting Virtual Tour of El Barrio Spanish Harlem

Because of COVID-19, we could not gather together to light the tree in 2020. Instead, we created a video that not only shows the tree being lit but also highlighted the many businesses and organizations in East Harlem that stepped up to help out the community during the pandemic. Walkthrough these streets with us.
